The library space at our new location is shaping up to serve our college community beautifully. This page will take you on a brief tour of the space so that you can begin using it to assist you with your studies.
There are three doors to the Brookes Library. If you enter through the door labelled 111, you will enter near the Reference Collection.
The Reference Collection contains frequently used books, such as subject encyclopedias and commentaries. You are welcome to use these books inside the library, but they cannot be checked out.
The shelves against the wall around the Reference Collection hold a special collection of special collection of monographs. These books, like the reference materials, cannot be checked out.
The majority of our materials are in our circulating collection, which begins after the special collection. These materials can be checked out for 4 weeks (and renewed). The circulating collection continues along the wall, and then on to the free-standing shelves in the middle of the room.
If you are a Brookes student, faculty, or staff member, and you wish to check out a book from our circulating collection or return a book, you may do so at the circulation shelves. These shelves are near the library entrance (door 111). To checkout materials, fill out the sheet on the clipboard. To return materials, leave them on the return shelf. If you'd like to renew a book, contact our librarian, Amy Pearce.
